Don Doty, vice president of operations for FDH Velocitel, was recently appointed to the inaugural Board of Governors for the National Wireless Safety Alliance. NWSA is a national non-profit assessment and certification organization that has been developed to improve the safety skills and training of the professionals who work on towers and other non-standard structures. Doty, a long-time member of the National Association of Tower Erectors (NATE), has played a leadership role in improving tower worker safety. He is a recent recipient of NATE’s Bill Carlson Lifetime Service Award for his efforts to advance safety standards and education in the industry.
